Bike School 101: Jan 11th – Feb 1st

Hey folks. A few weeks back another great group of students graduated from FCW’s Bike School 101 course. In case you haven’t heard, FCW’s Bike School is a great way to learn the basics of bike repair and maintenance in a supportive, laid-back environment. The class is a combination of lecture, demonstration, and hands-on practice and students have the option to practice on their own bikes, or shop bikes in need of a tune-up.

Here’s what some of the students had to say about this last round of Bike School 101.

“It was a great overview of essential maintenance and sparked enthusiasm to learn more!”

“The instructor is a true educator; concise, warm, thorough and balanced in his instruction!”

“I feel more knowledgeable and felt there was a good mixture of demonstration and personal practice.”

FCW will host another round of bike school in January. Classes are on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. The class is limited to 12 participants so don’t delay in registering.

The total cost of Bike School 101 is $80. Members of Columbus Outdoor Pursuits are entitled to a 15% discount, while volunteers of FCW, or those committed to volunteering, may pay for the course with shop credit. Email Jonathan at info@franklintoncycleworks.org for discount codes.

    Hi,
I’m hoping I am not too late to register for the Bike Maintenance Class this evening. I have 2 people, myself and Sean Kennedy.
We are COP members. Please let us know if there are spots for us. We can call with a CC or pay when we get there. THank you!
