Volunteer Night
Every Tuesday from 7-9pm, Franklinton Cycleworks has a volunteer night. As an all volunteer run organization, FCW utilizes volunteers to do everything. As an incentive, FCW offers shop credit for volunteer work at eight dollars per hour. You can use this shop credit towards 100% of used parts and 50% of new parts.
On Volunteer nights, we typically focus on:
- fixing bicycles to be sold through the shop,
- tearing apart bicycles that are better used for spare parts
- cleaning the shop space
- sorting used parts
- truing wheels and overhauling wheel hubs
- labeling wheels, bicyles and parts,
- utilizing volunteers for creative art in the shop
Whatever your interests are, FCW has a place for you as a volunteer!
